Calling all Musicians..
WIRED is
an opportunity to meet others and play together; what ever your level
of stage experience is. It is a chance to learn and explore musical
directions you may not have thought of or experienced before. For
“Wired” to work we need people to get “connected” and play together!
There are about 15 regular musicians that attend WIRED, some nights
have seen as many as 25 plus. We are a friendly bunch, and offer
encouragement to all newcomers.
Musicians with
gear need to be there between 7:30 & 8:00, the earlier the better, we
will be setting the PA about 7:15 PM. If you are coming along
and need prior information regarding our set up please contact us.
What style of Music?
The types of music
played at WIRED will depend on the musicians “in” on the night. There
are no rules as to what happens other than that we aim is to rotate
“acts” for the earlier part of the evening on a 15 minutes per spot
basis. What happens later on the evening depends entirely on the
audience and musicians present on the night. We hope to encourage
people to play together who may have not played together before,
whether they play blues, rock, acoustic, folk, or pop based. Anything
is possible. Every WIRED since the beginning of 2006 has been
different in some way.. it is not predictable.. but it is a lot of fun
and always turns up a few surprises!
